Careers Central @Champion

Careers Central is here to support Champion Bay Senior High School students in planning for their future. Our team is led by Pia Gray, Program Coordinator – Partnerships and Transitions, alongside Jenn Higgins, Career Practitioner, Louise O’Malley, School Officer, and a dedicated crew of Careers and VET trainers.

We’re based in the Moresby Building, and students are welcome to drop in before school, after school, or during break times for advice on:

  • Pathway choices
  • Further study options
  • Vocational training opportunities

We offer a wide range of learning programs, including:

  • Career Taster Program Experiences
  • Work Experience
  • Career & Employability courses
  • Certificates in Business, Sport & Recreation, Conservation & Ecosystem Management, and more
  • VET Delivered to Secondary Schools courses at Central Regional TAFE
  • Workplace Learning (ADWPL)
  • School based traineeships

Careers Central also contributes to a whole-school approach to careers education, including:

  • Regional initiatives like the Geraldton Regional Careers Expo
  • Careers Week events
  • Careers-related learning in form time and integrated across the curriculum
