Champion Bay Senior High School Student Council

Student Council

The Student Council is elected by their peer group and staff. The students on the Council are responsible for representing the general student population of the College. They play a key role in assemblies, organise events and participate in community forums, in addition to having input into various activities run by the College. The Councillors have a close working relationship with the Manager of Student Services who they meet with each week.

Head Girl and Head Boy

The College Head Boy and Head Girl are the Student College leaders who represent the College at formal functions including Anzac Day Services and assemblies.

These leaders are elected from the Student Councillors. Students can nominate themselves or be nominated by other students or staff. Nominees are given a clear explanation of the role on acceptance of their nomination. The student then goes on to the next stage where they are short-listed and formally interviewed by the Manager of Student Services and a Deputy Principal. The elected College student leaders are involved in activities during and after school hours.
