Home / Champion Bay Senior High School – New Uniforms

New school uniforms are here

Next year will be an exciting time for our school community. From 2019, our school will be known as Champion Bay Senior High School. Along with new and refurbished buildings and landscaping, we now have a new school crest and uniforms.

Students will be dressed in one of two polo shirt styles, depending on their year level. The navy polo shirts will feature a teal panel and white piping for Years 7-9 or white panels with teal piping for Years 10-12. The shirts are matched with functional navy blue shorts, skorts or sport shorts. In cool weather, students will wear navy track pants and a new zip front uniform jacket.

To assist with the cost of the transition, currently enrolled students will be provided with a free uniform package that includes a voucher to purchase three polo shirts, two pairs of summer short pants, one pair of navy track pants, one school jacket and a school hat.

Uniform packages and additional uniforms to purchase will be available from Total Uniforms from 2 January, 2019. Parents or Guardians can collect a voucher for each currently enrolled, eligible student from the School Administration Office from 3 December 2018 during office hours. Each student will be issued with only one voucher, so please treat it like cash. The school will take no responsibility for lost vouchers and will not re-issue vouchers.

Below is a list of Frequently Asked Questions about the voucher process and uniforms. If you have further questions, please contact the Administration Office on 9965 8300.

I look forward to seeing our students in the new school uniforms next year.

Yours sincerely

Julie Campbell

Frequently Asked Questions.

When and where will the uniforms be available?

Uniforms will be available from Total Uniforms at 2 Jensen St, Geraldton, from 2 of January 2019 and beyond. Layby orders can be made from 19 November 2018.

How do the uniform vouchers work?

Each continuing enrolled student entering Years 8, 9 and 10 will be allocated one voucher for a Senior or Middle School Uniform Package. The package includes three polo shirts, two pairs of shorts or skorts, one jacket and one pair of school track pants.

A Parent or Guardian will be required to collect and sign for the voucher at the school Administration Office. Please treat the voucher like cash as we can only provide one voucher for each student. The school will take no responsibility for any loss of vouchers. Take your voucher to Total Uniforms to exchange for appropriate sized clothing. At this time the Parent or Guardian will be required to sign again to collect uniforms.

Can I purchase additional items?

Yes, additional items will be available to purchase. Please see the price list below.

Is the new uniform compulsory for the beginning of 2019?

Yes, we are very excited to be starting the year with a new school name and a new uniform. As uniform packages are provided for existing students, they will be required to wear the new uniform from the first school day of 2019.

Currently students can wear any pants or shorts in the appropriate colour, is that still the case?

No, from 2019 we are moving to compulsory track pants, shorts or skorts with the school name. This will give our students a unified appearance.

Are there boys and girls uniforms?

Students can choose any of the three styles of summer pants. A microfiber short (in a choice of two lengths), stretch polyester skort and girls sport style short.

Track pants are universal and polo shirts are available in two styles: Years 7-9 and Years 10-12.

My child will change schools after 2019 will they receive another uniform package?

Unfortunately no. We can only provide one package per currently enrolled, eligible student. However by 2020, we anticipate secondhand uniforms will be available. The school will provide a market place on Facebook for parents to buy and sell used uniforms.

Can I use the voucher to purchase uniform items other than listed in the package?

In order to manage the roll out of uniforms effectively, all eligible students in each year level will be issued with the same package.

If a student does not wish to wear shorts for religious or cultural reasons, please contact the Administration staff to make alternative arrangements.

Can I use the Champion Bay Senior High School uniform voucher to purchase any other schools’ uniforms?

No, the vouchers are non transferable.

What happens if I lose my voucher?

Please treat your voucher like cash. Due to the nature of managing a large number of students and packages we cannot re-issue lost vouchers. The school takes no responsibility for lost vouchers.

Will the school sell secondhand uniforms in the future?

Champion Bay Senior High School will establish a market place on Facebook for Parents and Guardians to buy and sell used uniforms.
